Joe Madureira Batman #50 Exclusive Covers

Exciting news sent from Joe Madureira himself via twitter today!

So a few things, first it seems that Joe does indeed own the www.JoeMad.com domain and is finally using it to be an online store for his work. It seems he'll sell exclusive covers to comics (much like J Scott Campbell does with www.jscottcampbell.com). So we should see variant covers for sale and perhaps this will be the storefront the new Battle Chaser's comics could be on?

Second, Joe is doing exclusive Batman #50 variant covers, which is the issue featuring Batman and Catwoman's wedding. So expect them and the Bat Family to be on the cover(s).

Third, YES, you read that right, there will be multiple covers. The new JoeMad.com Batman #50 store page has the following description.

"Order your copies of Batman #50 EXCLUSIVE featuring cover artwork by Joe Madureira and colors by Grace Liu! A Joe Mad EXCLUSIVE! Available in full color in 3 connecting variants. Individual or sets, signed or unsigned are available. Signed copies are autographed by Joe Madureira."

Take your pick. I use them all. Sometimes I work on paper that’s a little different ( smoother or more coarse ) and I may move up or down to an H or a B lead if needed. But I find H and 2H digs into the pap er and is too hard to erase ( Which sadly I do a lot of ) and B is too soft ( smudges like a mofo.) B is fantastic for going back over lines, darkening , and adding weight to your lines. Basically, ‘inking’ with a pencil. **Just keep a sheet of scrap paper under your hand or you will smudge the shit out of your drawing!!!** HB suits my needs 99% of the time. Really no need to switch it out, just adjust your pressure. Harder or...
