The main covers for Joe Madureira's Battle Chasers issue 11 have been revealed and will release on July 19th, 2023. Issue 11 has four covers featuring Ludo Lullabi, Joe Madureira, and Jonboy Meyers. Rumor has it that one or both of Jonboy Meyers covers will be a duel page spread. Issue Summary: The battle continues! Garrison draws on the power of his cursed blade! Secrets are revealed. Great news for Joe Madureira and Ludo Lullabi! Issue 10 of Battle Chasers has sold out and is receiving a second printing on July 12th, 2023.  Ludo tweeted that they ran out of time to do an original cover for the second printing, but turns out they'll be using Joe Madureira's Battle Chasers New York Comic Con art from 2013. However Ludo did share his seconding printing cover featuring Gully and Calibretto. Thank you all for the incredible reception of Battle Chasers 10! @JoeMadx and I are over the moon!. A tenth variant cover is available for Joe Madureira's Battle Chasers issue 10 from Gotham Central Comics  featuring art from Mike Del Mundo .  The cover has Gully punching out a monster with her gauntlet in what looks like a homage to a Muhammad Ali boxing pose. Big news, did a BATTLE CHASERS cover for issue #10 with Gully in the famous Muhammad Ali pose. Words can’t express how much I’ve missed this book. Battle Chasers was one of the pinnacle books that I learned and studied from. One of the Holy Grails that never left my drawing table so when Gotham Central Comics hit me up to collab on a retail variant for Issue 10, I was ecstatic, I did not hesitate. Joe Madureira is a beast 🐐 and being able to be a part of the Battle Chasers Legacy is a privilege.

A ninth cover for Battle Chasers issue 10 is coming featuring artwork by Ariel Diaz! This one is an exclusive from Bird City Comics and can be purchased at BirdCityComics.com . Limited to 500 copies, the initial pre-sale starts Friday, May 26th at 8pm EST. There's three versions; a trade, trade virgin, and CGC slabbed versions. The cover features Red Monika and is a homage to Joe Madureira's Battle Chasers Issue 1 variant cover.

It’s been a long time since we’ve seen a variant cover by Joe Madureira, and this one is a first of its kind…. a manga variant cover for My Hero Academia!  The cover features Bakugo and the art was coloured by Marte Gracia (Who has collaborated with Joe in the past on his Inhumans run).  The book is being published by Ki-oon Éditions and is releasing October 6, 2022. 

Marvel Comics recently announced two new X-Men series debuting this July written by acclaimed writer Jonathan Hickman. They are titled 'House of X' and 'Powers of X' and will redefine the X-Men and their place in the Marvel Universe. Joe Madureira had a successful run on Uncanny X-Men back in the 1990's and Marvel has commissioned him to draw various variant covers for X-Men over years since then. Fans can now anticipate a new variant cover by Joe for the new 'House of X' series this July since his name is in the solicitations. Here's an image promotion the new X-Men series (not drawn by Joe Mad!).

Coming to comic stores near you on March 6th, Mirka Andolfo's Unnatural #8 will have variant 'B' covers, one of which is by Joe Madureira. If you're not familiar with the series, here's a synopsis by Image Comics: "Leslie is a simple pig girl. It's been a quiet six months for Joe Madureira news but snooping around the news today I see he's scheduled to draw a variant cover for issue 8 of Image Comic's bestselling series 'Unnatural' created by Mirka Andolfo. The cover hasn't been released yet but hopefully something will be released before the March 6th release. Here is Mirka Andolfo's cover for the issue. Hours after the Batman #50 teaser tweet by Joe Madureira, he followed up with a snippit of the main cover... and now he's revealed the whole trio of covers and it features some amazing cameos. On the left cover behind Batman is a hero filled page featuring Superman, Wonder Woman and Batgirl, then on the right cover behind Catwoman it features the villans Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy and the Joker. It seems he'll sell exclusive covers to comics (much like J Scott Campbell does with www.jscottcampbell.com ). So we should see variant covers for sale and perhaps this will be the storefront the new Battle Chaser's comics could be on? Second, Joe is doing exclusive Batman #50 variant covers, which is the issue featuring Batman and Catwoman's wedding. So expect them and the Bat Family to be on the cover(s). Super Mansion is a new stop-motion animated series from creators Matthew Senreich, Zeb Wells and executive producers Bryan Cranston and Seth Green. The show will have a comic book to support the series as well and it features a cover from Joe Madureira! Next Thursday, July 9th, at 1pm, SuperMansion voice talent and executive producers Bryan Cranston ("Breaking Bad”), Seth Green (“Family Guy”), Matthew Senreich (“Robot Chicken”), and Zeb Wells (“Robot Chicken”) will sign the exclusive comic book at the BOOM! Studios Booth (#2229) at the San Diego Convention Center.

Marvel is pumping out issues of Inhuman! Issue four just came out which had a Joe Madureira variant, issue five is out September 10th (I don't believe Joe has a variant for it) and issue six is out September 24th which has this Joe Mad variant cover!

*** UPDATE *** Unfortunately this cover was never made. I guess Marvel.com made a mistake advertising a variant cover by Joe Madureira. Sigh... Guess We'll have to wait for Savage Wolverine #8 and Inhumans. *** END UPDATE *** The Marvel comic solicitations for September 2013 were just released and I've discovered that Joe Madureira will be drawing a variant cover to X-Men: Battle of the Atom #1. Hopefully we'll see the artwork soon! For now check out the inks to Savage Wolverine issue #8's cover and his X-Men #1 variant cover without the typography.

This one slipped under the radar! I guess Joe Madureira will have a variant cover for the launch of Marvel Now's X-Men ongoing series. This had to be a last minute idea on Marvels behalf. Here's the only preview I could find... hopefully we will see a higher resolution version before it hits retail next week.
