New York Comic Con is here!

The 2010 New York Comic Con is going on as I type this and Joe Madureira will be there all day today and tomorrow doing signings. I've read he has the Red Monika Print, Battle Chasers Hardcover Print and the un-edited Vampirella Print for sale at his booth.

There should be a big announcement this weekend on what Joe Madureira will be drawing for Marvel next. During Marvel's CUP 'O JOE [QUESADA] Panel today Brian Bendis hinted that,

"two high-profile, awesome artists" are working on crossover events between the Avengers team, saying that they're "significant Avengers shenanigans."

Could this be what Joe Madureira is working on? Hopefully we'll find out over the next few days!

Not likely anyone could ever get me to go to the NYCC after the disaster the first one was, but I hope you had fun attending. Myself, personally, I'd like to see Madureira finally put out something, ANYTHING, other than cheesecake pinups, cover art, and the occasional Battle Chasers graphic novel reprint, but sadly I know there's no monetary incentive for him to do it.

Take your pick. I use them all. Sometimes I work on paper that’s a little different ( smoother or more coarse ) and I may move up or down to an H or a B lead if needed. But I find H and 2H digs into the pap er and is too hard to erase ( Which sadly I do a lot of ) and B is too soft ( smudges like a mofo.) B is fantastic for going back over lines, darkening , and adding weight to your lines. Basically, ‘inking’ with a pencil. **Just keep a sheet of scrap paper under your hand or you will smudge the shit out of your drawing!!!** HB suits my needs 99% of the time. Really no need to switch it out, just adjust your pressure. Harder or...
